Lent Meditations

Morning Meditation each day:

Oh glorious Father, reveal within me the mystery of our holy Mother Mary.

Noon Meditation each day:

Oh thou great Master Jesus – channel of light

Evening Meditations:

Feb 14 Ash Wednesday – FAST AND ABSTAIN

Feb 15 Thurs.  For the earth is now in the ashes of ruin, the sins committed since our Lord Jesus was on earth in a human body. The renaissance of war and pestilence and unbelief.  Oh Father, we look forward to the fullness of the atonement that our Lord will obtain for us.  As we again go through the great reality of the journey to Calvary.

Feb 16 Fri.  We look now upon the greatness of the world, creation of God the Father.  We look out upon the astounding universe with eyes unblinking and face unblanched. To ignore no longer truth and fear no fact. We are now ready at all times to recast all our opinions to the glory of God. We are ready to enter the crucible of purification which to experience new gifts of the spirit. Not building hope on hope alone but hope on a firmer foundation.

Feb 17 Sat. To forgive, without seeking forgiveness. To love and keep affection in the face of misunderstanding. I vow to set my thoughts upon things I value and spend my strength in the fulfillment of noble purpose. To reverence the reverences of others rather than what they revere.

Feb 18 Sun. To be alert to all nature’s pageantry of beauty though we may dwell amid city’s clamor. I vow to get the most out of life and give the most of what I receive. To be sincerely faithful to responsibilities so that all may cherish honor above indulgence.

Benediction for February 18 Sunday Service:

May the faith that makes faithful, the hope that endures and the love that triumphs be with us always. Amen, Amen, Amen.

Feb 19 Mon. I seek service above gain, that I may leave this world enriched by a treasure of kindly deeds and a memory of love; this is my aspiration and ideal.

Feb 20 Tues.   Faith is in my acceptance of thy perfect love.

Feb 21 Wed.   Faith leads to salvation through love.

Feb 22 Thurs.  As a divine fool in faith we step out in selfless action.

Feb 23 Fri.    Faith overcometh the world.

Feb 24 Sat.    Not my will, oh Father, but thy will be done.

Feb 25 Sun.   Oh Father, bring me into harmony that I may perceive thy divine will.

Feb 26 Mon.   Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for thy shall be filled.

Feb 27 Tues.  To do things my way is to be carnally minded; to do things thy way is the way of Christ.

Feb 28 Wed.  I can of my own self do nothing.

Feb 29 Thurs. In humility is great power.

Mar 1 Fri.   Oh Father, I give myself to thee in service.

Mar 2 Sat.   Oh Mother, bring forth my true personality.

Mar 3 Sun.  Individuality is but the cloak I wear.

Mar 4 Mon. In my patience, oh Lord, do I possess my soul.

Mar 5 Tues. Lord Jesus, thou art the redeemer of my soul.

Mar 6 Wed. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.

Mar 7 Thurs. Great is the soul of him who serves the least among men.

Mar 8 Fri. I shall know the truth and the truth shall set me free.

Mar 9 Sat. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
